Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the tour? The tour itself lasts about 30 minutes.
What if it is raining? Do you still take tours? We will take tours in the rain if you are willing to go. About half of the tour is outside, while the other half is inside the old cabin. We occasionally receive hail in the summer months. In the event of a hail storm we will postpone tours until the hail has ended. In the event of snow (early spring and late fall) it is possible we will be closed due to hazardous path conditions.
How much walking is involved? The tour path is about 100 yards round trip, which does involve some steps as well.
Is the tour wheel chair accessible?Unfortunately the tour itself is not accessible by wheelchair but the gift shop and restrooms can be accessed by wheelchair.
Are strollers allowed on the tour?Strollers are very difficult to maneuver on the tour path and are not recommended for your child’s safety.
Can I bring a dog on the tour?Dogs can be taken on the tour, but must be small enough to be held the entire time.
How much does it cost?Children 4 & under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by their own parent. Adults are $10 each. Children 5-11 years old $4.
